Contradictions regarding the appointment:
Due to the magnetic field patients should not have metal and electronic implants and foreign objects, such as pacemakers, neurostimulators, endovascular stent graft, metal plates, screws, surgical clamps, artificial joints, bullets, fragments, etc.
MRI is not recommended for pregnant women during the first three months of the pregnancy unless it is strictly necessary.

Before and after the scanning
The MRI scanning is painless and non-invasive. The scanning lasts between 30 minutes to an hour. Information about the duration of each scanning can be obtained from our staff. Throughout the procedure, you will be in contact with our staff who will also supervise you during the scanning. On a special request and, if technically possible, we can also allow you to watch any movie during the examination at no extra cost. For more information, please contact +386 1 543 7826.
MRI does not need to be done on an empty stomach. It is important that the patient is dressed in lightweight clothing without buttons, metal clips and zippers prior to the scanning. The patient must remove all metal objects (glasses, keys, pencils, jewelry, dental prosthesis) that impair the quality of the image. The patient must also remove other objects (watch, credit cards, mobile phone, other electronic devices) because they can damage and disturb the examination in the magnetic field.
We do not use contrast media in our center.
After the scanning
After completing the procedure, you will receive a CD with pictures. You will receive a written report from a radiologist specialist by post. Immediately after the procedure, you will go home.
